Kombu is a traditional Japanese name for all kinds of algae that grow in Japan. Kelp alga is collected in rocky coasts in Japan, at tides breakes. Its color is Brown and when it dried, it becomes black.
Nowadays You can buy kombu algae in Nature stores, as pills, capsules, liquid, or dried in its natural state. 
in a state of hypothyroidism it may restore activity in the thyroid gland because it contains significant quantities of iodine.
When we use dried kombu we need to take a piece of it and boil it for 10 min. when it became cold we can drink the water. The treatment should be done once or twice a week.
